Location: Waste Transfer Station, Abbey Road, London, NW10 7TJ
Salary: £31,950 inclusive of London Weighting Allowance
Hours: 36 hours per week (according to a shift rota)

About the Role

As a Mobile Plant Operator, you will play a crucial role in managing materials at our Transfer Station. Your responsibilities will include:

• Separating and processing various recycling materials such as metal, cardboard, wood, paper, and green waste.
• Loading vehicles to achieve maximum permitted weights.
• Supporting HRRC operations by compacting and packing materials.
• Operating a variety of vehicles, equipment, and plant machinery, including:
  • Wheeled loading shovel long reach
  • Wheeled elevated cab 360
  • Roll on roll off lorry 6 Wheeled
• Collaborating with the traffic controller to maximise material value and revenue.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and reporting incidents immediately.
• Maintaining site cleanliness through various duties, including sweeping, cleaning, and grass cutting.

What We Are Looking For

We seek a proactive and physically fit individual with experience in similar roles, such as:-
You should be adept at using various machinery and vehicles, capable of working independently and as part of a team, and committed to upholding health and safety standards.

• Plant Operator
• Heavy Equipment Operator
• Recycling Facility Operator
• Waste Management Technician
• Candidates should meet the following requirements:
• Up to two years' experience of driving the mobile plant mentioned above.
• A valid driving licence.
• Adept at using various machinery and vehicles, capable of working independently and as part of a team, and committed to upholding health and safety standards.
